How to Pay for Registration
- Credit cards (American Express, MasterCard, and Visa) are accepted online and on-site.
- See note on right regarding purchase orders. Checks should be made payable to TASA and mailed to 406 East 11th St., Austin, TX 78701-2617.
Registration Must Be Paid Prior to Badge Pickup
TASA is delighted to accept purchase orders during the online registration process for the convenience of registrants who want their organization to remit payment via check. Please note that purchase orders for the TASA 2027 Midwinter Conference must be paid in full by January 13, 2027. Those with unpaid registrations on that date should be prepared to remit payment at the on-site registration desk when you arrive at the conference; checks and credit card payments will be accepted.
Early-Bird Registration Rates (September 29-December 4)
TASA Member
Educational Entity- TASA members affiliated with an educational entity (school district, charter or private school, ESC, college or university, education association, or the Texas Education Agency)
- Increases to $560 during regular registration and $630 on-site
- You must be a 2026-27 TASA member and logged in to the TASA Member Services Center to see/take advantage of the member rate when registering online. Need help logging in?
Non-Member
Educational Entity- Non-members affiliated with an educational entity (school district, charter or private school, ESC, college or university, education association, or the Texas Education Agency)
- Increases to $660 during regular registration and $730 on-site
- Join TASA to get the lower member rate.
TASA Member
Non-Educational Entity- TASA members not affiliated with an educational entity (school district, charter or private school, ESC, college or university, education association, or the Texas Education Agency) who are not registered as exhibitors for the conference

- Join TASA to get the lower member rate.
Please note: TASA Midwinter Conference concurrent session presenters must register themselves for the conference and are responsible for their own hotel and travel expenses as well as the full conference registration fee (listed above).
TASA Student Member
- Only TASA Student Members are eligible for this rate
- Rate remains the same during all phases of registration

Optional Events Requiring Registration
TABSE Texas Education Policy Institute Preconference Session
Tentatively Sat., Jan. 23, 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.- TEPI is for educators who are interested in learning about education policy and practice and who desire to give input regarding legislative policy decisions. This session is facilitated by TEPI leaders and elected officials and has limited seating available.
- This is a TABSE event. If you have questions about TEPI, please contact Mae Olison at 210.601.7512.
- Rate and start/end time will be posted when available.
School Finance Template Boot Camp
Sun., Jan 24, 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.- TASA’s School Finance Template (formerly Budget) Boot Camp is facilitated by school finance experts from the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO). Learn more about the boot camp.
- Registration for the boot camp is separate from Midwinter Conference registration, and full conference registration is not required to participate in the boot camp.
- Rate increases by $50 during on-site registration.
Aspiring Superintendents Academy
Meetings throughout Midwinter (Jan. 24-27)- TASA’s Aspiring Superintendents Academy is a must-attend for those who aspire to become superintendents. Learn more about the academy.
- Kicking off at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 24, the academy will meet several times throughout the conference.
- Registration for the academy is separate from Midwinter Conference registration but conference registration is REQUIRED as the two events overlap. Academy registration will be available to you ONLY AFTER REGISTERING for Midwinter Conference. Register for Midwinter THEN for the academy.
- Rates increase by $50 during on-site registration.
BE PREPARED TO REGISTER
IMPORTANT: YOU MUST LOG IN TO THE TASA MEMBER SERVICES CENTER (MSC) TO REGISTER WHEN REGISTRATION OPENS SEPTEMBER 29.
If you have not yet logged in to the new MSC, you must create a login before attempting to register.
Cancellations
How to Change/Cancel Registration: To manage your registration for any TASA event, log in to the TASA Member Services Center (Need help logging in?). Once logged in, use the left navigation to select My Events to see a list of events for which you are registered. Click on “Click Here” next to the event you wish to manage to access the event overview page, where you will find a drop-down menu that provides options for managing your registration.
Cancellation Deadline: The cancellation deadline for the 2027 Midwinter Conference is January 13, 2027. After the deadline, there will be no refund of registration fees, and no-shows will be billed in full with no refund issued; however, substitutions may be made online in the TASA Member Services Center (see instructions above) or on-site at the conference.
Cancellation Fee: Per-individual cancellation fees for the 2027 Midwinter Conference are $100 for the main conference and $50 for the School Finance Template Boot Camp.
Refunds: Cancellations will be processed AFTER the conference registration deadline. Refunds (less the cancellation fee) will be issued no sooner than 30 days after the final day of the 2027 Midwinter Conference.
Substitutions
If you find that you cannot attend the Midwinter Conference, you may send a co-worker in your place.
Prior to the online registration deadline (January 13, 2027), you may transfer registration to a colleague online. See “How to Change/Cancel Registration” on the left for instructions.
Last-minute substitution requests may be made on-site at the main TASA Midwinter Conference registration desk as early as 7 a.m., Sunday, January 24. Substitutes should go to the counter labeled “REGISTER HERE” to register and pick up their badges on-site.
