The Midwinter Conference Welcome Reception, which is open to all Midwinter registrants, will be held at 4:30 p.m., Sunday, January 26, at the Austin Marriott Downtown. Don’t miss this opportunity to reconnect with colleagues from across the state! Before you head to the reception, be sure to stop by on-site registration in the Austin Convention Center before it closes at 5 p.m. to pick up your conference badge. TASA is turning 100 in 2025, and we’re kicking off a yearlong celebration at the 2025 TASA Midwinter Conference! Join past and present TASA leaders and staff, as well as other VIPs and  friends of the association, for a fun-filled evening celebrating TASA “Continuing a Legacy of Leadership.”

Conference attendees have the opportunity to enjoy performances by talented student musicians from public schools across Texas at the start of each general session. If you need a space to meet up with a colleague, or you simply have some downtime and want to rest, visit the TASA Member Connection Center. It’s the lounge-like area across from the Exhibit Hall entrance. While you’re there, pick up some TASA swag (including some special 100-year anniversary items!) and snap a pic in front of the TASA photo backdrop. Big news: The TASA Midwinter Conference will be in San Antonio at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center next year in 2026! Due to major renovations at the Austin Convention Center during the time of next year’s conference, we’re moving Midwinter for a few years! Visit San Antonio is already gearing up for our big move and will have a booth across from the registration desk at the 2025 Midwinter Conference. Stop by to ask any questions you may have about conferencing in the Alamo City and be sure to pick up a squishy avocado or taco de-stressor to sit on your desk to remind you that you’ll be visiting San Antonio in 2026 as a Midwinter attendee!

N2 Learning Meet-and-Greet

N2 Learning (N2) and TASA are partnering to offer the Assistant Principal Leadership Academy (APL), New 2 Principalship Collaborative Coaching Series, The Principals’ Institute (PI), and The Executive Leadership Institute (ELI) to school districts across the state. These offerings are designed to help administrators develop as instructional leaders and build networks of like-minded administrators across the state. Stop by on Tuesday, January 28, to meet the N2 partners and senior associates.
